In order to join the Marine Corps League, a member must meet the following requirements: 'That you have served as a U.S. Marine for more than 90 days, that that the character of your service has been honorable, and if discharged, are in receipt of an honorable discharge. By completing and signing an application, you hence agree to provide proof of honorable discharge/service upon request.'


*The fee for a one year membership is $20.00.

*You may apply for membershipin the Marine Corps League, as a 'Member-at-Large' (MAL), and pay $25.00 for one year's membership.

* Your menbership includes a free subscription to Marine Corps League Magazine.


People, who have not served the the Marine Corps, may also join as an 'associate' member'. An associate member has different responsibilities, and benefits as Regular Members. Please contact the League for further information.


Please contact any current officer in the detachment, and they will send you the appropiate form to send into the Marine Corps League National Headquarters, along with your payment.


*NOTE* Our membership enrollemnt in the Essex County Leathernecks has been declining. If anyone meets the criteria to join our organization, or knows of an individual who does, please don't hesitate to contact us for an application. We always welcome new faces and ideas to our League!!

**SPECIAL UPDATE**

Certain Navy FMF Corpsman are now eligible for full membership in the Marine Corps League. This Bylaw Change #5 was passed at the 78th National Convention in Dearborn, MI. It modifies Article Six, Section 600-Regular Membership, as follows: (a) to includeand Naval Medical Personnel who have trained with Marine FMF Units in excess of ninety (90) days and earned the Marine Corps Device (clasp) worn on Service Ribbon and those who earn the Warfare Device authorized for FMF Corpsman shall be eligible for regular membership in the Marine Corps League.
